more pics: I spent a few minute weathering the seat on the left. first attempt at rear cab, also my first time using styrene. opened the other vent. second attempt at rear cab=much better. holes filled and gap restored. started making rock sliders. I wasn't happy with the length of the outer tube so I made another set a little shorter. mock up next up I plan to mount the body to the frame and make a skid/tranny mount.I want to have a full interior so I expect some difficulty in getting the tranny low enough, but not too low. |

got more done over the weekend. I made new links to stretch the wheel base but I am thinking the front axle may be a bit too far forward, gonna wait til I make a bumper to make the final call. |

I like the design of your rear cage, simple and effective. Iam building one now and couldnt come up with a design, Iam stealing yours. I also like the idea of your bolt on sliders, did you just tap the 3/16s tube? Very nice.

| Re: Nothing new Hilux truggy. Actually the sliders are brazed on but,I could have brazed some all thread in the tube and made them removable.

I have been working on this build again after several years of inactivity. Seems the previous pics have stopped working. I will try to fix that. Here are some updates. The truck is now running but not finished. It has a full interior, working steering wheel, a working speaker box with Bluetooth,Pinched nose ,front mounted motor with transfer case. I will try to go into more detail as I post new pictures and video. |
