Default Bomber Fab KOH Buggy

Towards the end of 2009 I got burned out on all of the rc stuff, so I put it all up on the shelf and it's been sitting there ever since. Lately though I've kinda got the urge to build something and since the 1:1 isn't currently needing any work I decided to make a new 1.9er.

Here's some pics of some Bomber Fabrications KOH buggy's that it will be modeled after.

Here's what I'll be taking the parts from, I got bored with the Yota and my driving style of bashing the crap out of things didn't fare too well for the hardbody.

Now for a smaller, lighter, faster 1.9er that will better fit my style. It's built for function over form, so it's the bare minimum size specs for class 3 at 4.5" tall, 5" wide, and as long as the wb at 12.5". Hopefully this lends it to perform as close to a comp rig as possible which is what I prefer. It's made mostly out of 3/16" solid rod with some 1/8" solid rod for non structural stuff to try and keep the weight down. A SCX10 skid plate also bolts up to it to make it super easy for the trans mount and link geometry.

Yeah, "doll trucks" . That's why I have a hard time actually driving these things anymore. If I'm going to go some were with rocks, I'll just take the 1:1 instead, way more fun . These things are just a heck of a lot cheaper to fix!!!

I'm working up by Kremmling now, we should go wheeling one weekend. I've been wanting to get out to junction for a couple months now, just haven't had time with school. You got pickett's old chassis right?

Yeah, I'm up for wheeling whenever as long as I'm not working. Got Pickett's chassis still, but bought another buggy also to wheel while I build an ultra 4.

No idea, not too much though. I've got a bare wreckluse chassis next to it and it's lighter than that. It's a lot smaller than most chassis, so it should work out to be not too bad and still be indestructable.

Little more work done today. This is how it looked before lunch. It's pretty much all built right now, just going through with the dremel and cleaning up all of the joints. Didn't take any more pics this afternoon though.
