| PROJECT ~AGENT ORANGE YOTA~ (Added MORE scale details & some more Pics) I've been wanting to paint a Yota with GM's old school "Hugger Orange" for awhile now. So...I decided to build one up...and add in some of Crawler Graphic's Yota stripes (modified to blend into a cut-down Warn Winches decal). Then....clear coat over the Hugger Orange base and the decals. So I guess the theme for this rig is "WARN"......I've added in another "WARN" decal to the back window...along with another decal that looks pretty cool too (it was a pain to cut out tho) Chassis will depend on if I'm going to SELL this one...or KEEP it. If I decide to sell it....it will get a like new Axial SCX10 chassis. BUT If I don't sell it...it will be getting a Rogue Dropped Bed....and it will go on my Bruiseruptor Chassis ! Front body mount will be hidden...rear body mounts will be a combination of hidden and 2 thru the bedfloor. (if I keep this one...the rear mounts will also be hidden because it will be going on the Bruiseruptor setup) It has a REIGN cab back on it...and that's the reason for the dual bed mounts for the Axial SCX10 chassis setup (otherwise I'd make hidden mounts for the bed too). It will get an interior...(Original Bruiser interior) Here's what I've got so far (I took indoor and outdoor pics....because the color can look alot different depending on where it's at !) : ArOn Last edited by BiG_DaWgZ; 09-25-2011 at 12:53 PM. |

Thanks....so am I....I've also got my 1 of a kind Boyer Yota....the one that has an inner and outer cage with a truggy/flatbed styled rear end. Thanks bud.....I'm posting some more pics now...I've got 6 coats of Lacquer Clear on this rig now !!! Sweet Camaro bro.....I'm guessing it's a 69.......but I'd need to see the rear quarter panels a bit better to be 100% sure !!! I've painted and/or done some work on a few Camaro's over the years....with the best 2 that I worked on being an Original 1969 Factory Race Car (the University of Pennsylvania's 69 Road Race car).....and I helped one of my best friends restore his #'s matching 69 DZ 302 car (Cortez Silver metallic w/black Stripes)!! (we probably blocksanded just the quarters...for over 40 hrs...it was UBER-Slick !) That color scheme is a perfect match.....I painted this truck 69 GM Hugger Orange....so I'm guessing that's the color of that sweet Camaro !!!! Well....I've added 3 more coats of Lacquer Clear....that's a minimum of at least 6 coats now...and it's blending the decals in very nicely with these latest coats. I think that I'm done now....I really like how it's looking. ArOn Last edited by BiG_DaWgZ; 07-13-2011 at 02:45 PM.

| Hey everyone....I've decided that I just can't get rid of this one....the colors draw me to it like a magnet ! SO....I'm pulling my Lime Gold Yota off of my Bruiseruptor chassis.....and then I'm putting a ROGUE ELEMENT drop bed in this Orange Yota....and it will be mounted up on the Bruiser chassis with an original Bruiser/Hilux interior (tan & black) with Billet Yota Axles, Killer Transfercase, Disruptor tranny...custom Turned down TLT shocks in the front....and some custom shocks that I made for the rear (made from RC4WD dual spring shocks...now turned down and internally sprung)....etc...etc. I've had a few nickname suggestions for this rig: "Agent ORANGE".......or "Asian ORANGE".......have been my 2 favorite so far. What do you guy's think ? HELP me re-name this project.....if you would . Here's my Chassis, Wheels, Tires and Interior that I'm using with this rig: Last edited by BiG_DaWgZ; 07-21-2011 at 01:18 AM. |

| Those are some 1.7" Semi Wheels.......I took some of RC4WD's Scale Lug Nuts....and I turned them down to a little less than 1/2 of their normal length.....for my lug nuts. (I chucked a nut up into a cordless drill...then bolted the lug nut down tight...then use a dremel and the drill running at the same time to cut them down ) Quote:
Thanks man.....I like the name "Rock Orange"....that's pretty cool ! I've got hundreds of pics of this rig.....I'll have to go thru them later today and post up some front shots. These are the BILLET YOTA AXLES.......I don't have any of RC4WD's Cast Yota axles yet....but after they start stocking them regularly I'll probably get a few sets of them in ! ArOn

| Still tryin to think of a cool name for it. I've been doing a bit of work on the grill that I'm using on this truck. First...I trimmed the grill completely down to where only the grill was left. Then....I Welded a Toyota Factory bumper ....up higher....without that big gap that they always have between the grill and the bumper. I did this to clean the looks up and give me a bit more on my approach angle. Then...I made some styrene headlight covers and grill inlet covers....so I could paint some CHROME on the parts of the grill that I wanted to give the "Chrome Effect" to. Here's how it's lookin: Last edited by BiG_DaWgZ; 07-21-2011 at 10:32 PM. |

| Well....I removed all of the tiny lil bits of overspray on the chrome paint....because that drives me nuts... ! Then...I made up a unique Toyota Emblem setup for the grill. I used one of the metal "Toyota" emblems from Stefan's "Land Cruiser" sets....then I used a large file to file it down to size and put a slant on the end of "Toyota"...where the "A" is....like this \ That's how the original emblem ends...so I just made one up. Cut out a chrome Toyota "T"....that took forever to get the way that I wanted it....from some of my chrome tape supplies. Here's how it looks now: ArOn Last edited by BiG_DaWgZ; 07-22-2011 at 07:19 AM. |
