Default Titus - Toyota Land Cruiser 40

Greetings from deepest darkest Africa. I see there are very few of us around, which is sad, but none the less. I have been on here for sometime, mainly reading and pretty quiet. I have had my CR-01 for a little while now. got it back in '08 and then gave it to a mate end of '09 when i moved to another country. I returned to SA and wanted to get myself another crawler. And, as fate would have it, my crawler returned to me. I bought it back from that same mate. happiness!

Well enough of my nonesnse, on the reason for this post. Its a pretty stock rig. Only things i have had done is paint the frame rails and beadlocks black. Running the stock can motor with some crappy electronics. The diff has also been locked, which made a big difference. Run NiMH, still researching LIPO.

Here the pics to keep the pic-whores happy

Couple thinsg i have planned are to chuck the cantilever crap and throw some shocks on. Get some metal / steel prop shafts in, get a new esc that can run lipos and drag brake setup. possibly get a 35T motor in aswell. oh, some new tires are must. Not going to throw alot of cash into this, just make it a bit more fun and more capable as well as easier to drive. Parts in general for RC stuff is pretty pricey over here sadly, so will probaby end up bringing in stuff from over your guys side of the pond. But, there are a few fairly good online stores over here, but dont carry the incredible variety you guys. very jeolous

still looking for decent place to crawl and some other crawlers to do some crawling with. I love the scale thing and not too serious about sheer performance, so that was why i went for the CR-01. Next project will be a high lift Tundra. now that be sweet.

Anyways, thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge.

Thanks for watching
Cheers

Are you going to put 1.9's on it? If not you should move it to either the 2.2 section or the cr-01 section. Anyway it looks sweet.
