While I had the rig apart I replaced my CVD pins with Gunnar Pins. Also switched some springs around to dial the suspension in. As of now I need to add my LED lights and I will be ready to go.

Cut the side windows to look like they are rolled down. Cut in a clear piece of plastic for a windshield. Threw in a painted interior to finish it out.

I still want to change the paint scheme a little.

A little more work today.

Put in a Tekin 35T Handwound.

Also took some scrap sheetmetal I had and cut some belly pans. Once I had the shape cut I used a hammer and a trailer hitch to beat it into shape. Took a dremel bit to the corners and sharp areas to give a nice finish. I still need to lay down some paint to finish it out.

Thanks Rick. I'm looking forward to the Zombie G6, thinking of a zombied out paint scheme to throw on. This rig is dialed in and ready to go!

I didn't like my black painted seat. Had this American Flag and the size was perfect for a seat cover so I went to work.

After the loss of my Pull Pal at Axialfest I decided it was time to replace it. I wanted one pull pal for each winch line on the rig. Here is what I came up with.

Check out the link of how to build them.

With the Zombie G6 this weekend I thought a digital camo look would be cool. This is what I have so far.

Made stencils out of a vinyl sheet I picked up from the Walmart craft section. I used 1/4 inch graph paper to make my shapes and patterns.

Painted a Sand color base coat. Then put on some stencils. Painted a Khaki color. Then more stencils and a final coat of Olive.

And the stencils removed.

With the R.E.C.O.N. G6 Birthday Bash next weekend I thought it would be a good time for a once over on the rig. I have ran the last 3 events with literally no maintenance besides a quick brushing of the dirt. Here is what I found.

Both axles were in good condition so I added grease and serviced the bearings. While I had the rear axle apart I installed a set of Underdrive gears i had. The transmission mounting screws were stripped so I swapped a new case in and greased the gears and serviced the bearings. Cut the comm, cleaned up my brushes. Also drained the shocks and filled with 70wt. Ready to roll!!!!

Birthday Bash or Bust!!!!!

Ran for an hour today and I can feel the difference of the underdriven rear axle. The turning radius has tightened up just a little and it's climbing has improved. I notice if I can keep steady wheel contact and speed the front end will suck down helping my heavy ass hardbody keep some weight lower. Can't wait to G6 on Saturday!!
