Cool Tassie, Australia - SCX10 Build

Hi, Everyone.

I've been browsing the forum of a while now looking for idea's for a Crawler.
an eBay buy came up at the right price so I took a gamble and bought it.

I received 2 body's with it, a Dingo and a Pro-Line Jeep Cherokee.

First I just took it out as it was sent to me.

After driving it for a couple weeks I decided to swap the bodies over to see how it looked.

Then I started to muck about adding some features

I made this soft top using the covering from an iPad case.

Next the bug started and I started to buy toys off the internet

Rear Bar

Lights

Also with my eBay Purchase was some larger tyres and I had a play with these also.

I started reading more about scale rigs and decided to change direction again and go back to the jeep body.

roof cage

Made some bungee cords and a tool box

Also got some tools

Also playing with this idea ( from a axial light bucket kit )

and my rig as it stands now

I have some more goodies coming in the post this week!!

Any opinions or suggestions for my rig would be appreciated

ok thanks, i had seen them on a few builds. One thing you can do to "improve" your cherokee is if you dont plan on running the dingo body any more, you can cut it up a little and run it under the cherokee body for an easy interior.

Heres the links to ebay

Still going to use my Dingo body, I'm looking at getting the Pro-Line interior set.
First I'm going to get new shocks / springs.

Also Started Installing my headlights - glued them into the body but I think I should make the holes bigger and mount them flush into the grill.

That rig has serious flex for a reg scx10. The scale roof rack and new grill look sweet. Keep up the good work! I am subscribing to this one!

Thanks for everyone's comments,

I took my rig apart the other night and measured the front shocks they are nearly 110mm end to end. I'm looking at buying a new set of 4 and changing the size slightly.

Also got my lights and grill installed

Also chucked my spare tyre on the roof until I make a rear tyre mount.

Night time

Today I installed an alloy steering link, my rig drives so much better now.
Before the stock plastic one would bow when the scx was on a lean stopping me from turning.

you may regret those claws. The TSL's are great scale tires that are good for crawling and bashing around. Other than that, she looks great. I love the grille and headlight mods.
