Like the axles. Im interested to see if that trans will hold up to a brushless.

Thanks guys, I'm expecting more stuff next week. Working on interior and hiding electronics right now.

I've actually ran this truck quite a bit with the brushless set up with all the stock parts to see what would break before buying hop ups..... But nothing ever did! Exept for the stock driveshafts.... They didn't even last one half throttle hit in the living room. That is with 3s and stock gearing, silly fast for what it is. This thing is bulletproof! My hat is off to Rc4wd for making an awsome truck/platform.

I will get some more pics and vid up soon.

I'll follow...I happen to be a Ford fan!

Nice idea and execution of the plan so far. 1.55s would look REALLY good on there. Hmmm. More money?

Well, since my last post i have been trying different combinations of scale parts and realism..... and it wasnt working for me... so i bought a second TF2 and do them as a pair

My intent was to do as scale a build as i could with leaf springs, and the k44's. The tire and wheel combo (tires rubbing the leafs in the front) was a major player in the decision to do a second truck. Not only do i want it to look as scale as possible but i want it to perform as one too.

The first one i started with the F350 body will now be a 3 & 4 link set up with the K44's.

Truck #1 F350, (more for go than show)

K44's
3-4 link
Wraith/scx10 2 spd trans
Lowered battery
Full interior
Lighting/winches etc..
Lots of scale do-dads
Plan on entering in Class one

Truck #2 Tundra, (most realistic)

With the leafs and yota axles (I have started mocking up an IFS for the front) to make it year appropriate.
Lowered Engine & trans for better COG or...
A Fracture V-8, havent decided yet. gotta see where my money is
pretty much same as truck #1 for the rest
going to try my hand at styrene and see how it goes

Wish me luck...

I will get pics up later this week as soon as my BIG box of stuff comes from RC4WD

Bulldog, I'm with ya on the 1.55's still looking for that just right combo of wheel and tire. It sets the whole thing off ya know? I used the 1.7 tire and 1.9 wheel but the scale looked a little off. I have purchased multiple tires and wheels to see what looks good.
And yes,.... more money

This thread just got twice as cool! I'm looking forward to it. By the way, when I hit a snag on a build...I start a new truck too! It's the only way to feed the addiction correctly.

I'm confused The new chassis pics showing the flex...you don't have shocks mounted up yet...therefore it's an apples to oranges comparison.

As far as flex....it's cool, but just like in the real world, ultra flex is not always a good thing. I forgot about the two different trucks. It's late and I had a long day. I'm sure it will make sense tomorrow!

I just wanted to show the difference and possibilities, between the leafs and the 3-4 link. I have some new shocks coming but i'll put on my pro-line scalers tonight and repost those pics of flex.

I understand about having to much flex being a bad thing. It will be limited.

I just couldnt believe how much this thing would twist up!!

I don't think I saw this asked/mentioned anywhere, but where did you get those brake disc's? They're metal and attach to the hub, that's awesome!

Those are from RC4wd. I'll be making calipers and mounting brackets for them as well.
