This weekend I worked on inner fender wells (bed and engine compartment) and the interior floor, doghouse, seats and dash. Just roughed everything and dry fitted. Built a few more detail pieces that aren't pictured and will be different color than the body to be added later. Can't wait to start smoothing and softening up all the rough edges. It starting to take shape though. Enjoy the photos.

Looking great there! You plan to put an engine in there to cover that green monstrosity?

Green monstrosity.........LMAO. yes the plan is to do a sub-depth or coverup engine. Time is the key here so it will happen just a case of before or after the contest.

Updates on the interior. Installed the windshield as well but it doesn't really show up in the photo. Nearing primer time to show the flaws there will be plenty of work to do after that. I am going to be pressed on time to include everything I wanted on this build so I am preparing to switch gears on a couple of items.

Good progress today. I painted all of the individual interior components. Primered all of the body. I have decided enough time has been spent on the body. For my first time working with styrene I must admit its alot to learn and put in use in a months time. Two more weeks or so I have to have this thing wrapped up. With that said I started on the chassis and installed the PORTALS.Mocked them up with the plastic Axial links for now. Need to build a couple of brackets to mount the uppers. My links haven't s
arrived yet. Need to make a final decision on shocks.

Your first time...RIGHT!! You look like a pro at the body, you did a great job The ONLY... thing I don't like is the steering wheel, Its out of place.

Well it truly is the first thing I have built with styrene.. Thanks for the compliment. I'll take your advice and change the steering wheel.......I agree. I'll make it look appropriate.

Anyone have suggestions on body color? I'm 95% sure what color I'm going with but maybe someone has a better idea.

Couple of quick updates. Rebuilt the steering wheel. I used a light bucket,o-ring and 1/8 inch styrene tubing. Installed front bumper. Started on door panels. More updates coming soon.

Worked on the interior today. Dash decals and emblems is all that's left to do. There's alot more details that could be done but I need to move on. Thanks for all the comments it keeps me motivated.
