Default The Stig’s Tundra

I am sure you guys recognize this rig. I was lucky enough to purchase it a while back and have finally gotten around to working on it (not that it really needed anything). I picked up a Tamiya interior which fit pretty well. Added a RC4WD Clear Lexan Windshield. Mounted some RC4WD Interco IROK (X2 SS compound) tires on a set of DarkSoul scaler wheels that I had sitting around. Switched the ESC to a Tekin FXR and changed the motor to a Holmes Crawlmaster 13t with 6 degrees of advance timing. There are a number of other small changes I made but rather than bore you anymore, here it is what it looks like now:

What should I do to it next (besides beat the crap out of it)?

What an awesome Tundra!!!

Does it drive as bada$$ as is looks? The more tundra's I see the more I want to do a Tuna build - must complete other projects 1st, or my wife will, well you know...

Cheers,
Todd

Looks like a great rig. I'd say, drive it until parts fail and upgrade from there. But it looks like it's pretty loaded. If you don't have beef tubes in it and the xr mod...that would be a great upgrade for your steering. I couldn't tell from the pics. Overall, Nice score.

Thanks, it crawls great (good articulation and more clearance than any of my other scalers). The tires seem to have good grip, but I need more time with them to see how they compare to the Pit Bulls I normally run. This rig also appears to have great wheel speed, I think I may have to enter a G6 event to see how it does. As far as the wife thing goes she really doesn’t get it and has no idea home much money I spend on these things.

Thanks for the suggestions, it does have the xr mod and beef tubes, which like you said made a big difference in how much steering it has. So I will just have to drive it until something breaks.
