| JHTreyIII's Jeep Brute
So I wasn't going to do a build thread for this rig because I was feeling kinda lazy but I figured what the hell...it may turn out great and I'll want to brag about it. So here goes. It's another Brute build, because we don't have enough of those. I want it to look similar to this: But not a 4 door, that would be too long. I'm going to do a full exoskeleton, maybe using some ideas from this (sorry Rick, I kinda stole this photo from you): But I want it to have an enclosed bed with a set of cabinets on the cover, something like this: And a roof rack that runs from the bed all the way over the top of the cab. Man this one is going to take some work. |

I relocated the motor and transmission up front using GCM's SCX10 kit which comes with the transfer case. |

The interior of the new bright JK's sure is nice. I'll give it a paint job and some red trim. I already chopped it in half. Nice thing is I'll probably be able to use the rear seat on a future build. |

Chop chop! Cut the body in half. A lot of people leave the body whole but the real Brutes have a bed that is separated from the cab. |

| Re: JHTreyIII's Jeep Brute Yeah man! I've been traveling a lot for the last 4 months and haven't been able to work on any of my rigs. I'm excited to get this one going! This is going to be a lot of tube work and I'm fairly new to brazing. Hopefully it will turn out okay. |

I really like the color theme on this one...the red trim on the wheels and the interior. It's sick. I'm going to get a set of the vanquish OMF wheels and set the color theme kinda like this. This is also what I'm using to model the interior after. |

Thanks guys. Not much to update with yet, I've just been working on the front cab some. Got the top attached and I'm working on the back. I still have a ways to go. |
