Coming soon: ScaleReady's 4-door CJ7 build!!!

I miss my old 4 door JK, and I know I cannot duplicate it the same as my old one, so.....
I had an idea one day on my way home form work. I want to build a 4-door CJ7 I have yet to see one on here, or anywhere on the net(as far as a scale one goes). I found a couple pictures of fullsize builds, butI don't like what they did with em. I want to keep the body looking like a CJ7, not a CJ7/CJ5 or a CJ7 with YJ wheel openings... This is going to have full four doors, and round wheel openings.

I am basing this off of 2 Tamiya YJ bodies. I have one already, and the second should be here in a day or so

I am employing the skills of my good friend Colby, to get the body built for me. He will be taking over on this build until I get the body back and start the chassis build. Expect nothing less than one bad ass build



Here is a shot of what it will roughly look like(the body). I think that cage is terrible looking. Mine will be much more appealing..

HH BRXL
HH 7 turn puller
CC BEC
7950 steering servo
645 Dig servo
R2 trans w/dig
1.9 wheels(unknown so far)
1.9 pitbulls

Thanks for taking on this project for me. I have ZERO styrene skills I know you understand the importance of details, so I know I will love what you come up with.

I will get the basic frame rails bent up and shipped to you with the bodies, so you have something to work with

Well you kind of dug up an old thread. Nationals are over... ive since built a new rig.. look for the green goblin build thread.... when you post in threads look at the dates

Alright. Misteriously another Tamiya Wrangler showed up at my house

Now I have two Time to start the dissection! First thing I did was make the top removable. That was a big pain in the ass, but I think I did okay.

Oh, and I used a utility knife, and a piece of portaband blade to make my cuts. I really need to get the right tools if I am going to be doing this more often....
