Default Project 1.9 FJ rock buggy: "Feather Weight"

So I got this a little while back. I am just now starting to consider the customizing that I am planning. Title is for it extremely light hearted style. I was amazed at the quality, curve, and overall weight of this little FJ Beauty.

First thing I did was drop it like it's Hawt!

This one will be getting lots added. It needs some build love.

kool tube work...

is the cage a bolt on or direct weld/braze ?

don't seem like much more to do...
except add electronics and detail items.

maybe some weight to the tires if that's not already done.

have fun with 'er

Looks cool bro! Are you going to adjust the wheel base to align the rear wheel well with the tire?

Also, I noticed that a few of your rigs squat down pretty low.... That is a cool look'n stance. how do you do it? Replace with smaller shocks, softer springs?

We need to do interior which is started, and ya details electrics and such. I've removed all the decals, hood will be black. I've trimmed off the front fenders, need new rear mount for shocks.

Thanks Bud! That was literally the first thing to do. It was apart within the first 30 min.

Some have limiters on the suspension some are just shocks like this one. I need to braze a mount for the rear of this one.

As far as a centered wheel well.....no. I like to drag the rear. The wheelbase is not that wide believe or not.

Right up my ally... Toyota and low...sick rig...can't wait to see you finish it out... The only barwork I would change is the down bars out back..

Thanks Blake, I dig the down bars in the rear. It def a litt;e different flavor but I likey. I think whats throwing it off is the lack of spare in the rear....be patient and check back in you will def see what im talking about.

Last night I actually got the shocks bolted up in the rear, before they were laid down and zipped tied to gauge where i wanted them. Right now I finally got sprung shocks and they are mounted only raised the rear a hair. I can limit if needed but I thought I would see where everything settles when I get her loaded up.

So shocks mounted, Decals removed, and hood painted flat black.....pics later from last nights progress.

I also put in work on the weekend cruiser FJ please check that thread for new pics...looking forward to feedback as its nearing completion.
