UPDATE. SHE'S ALIVE AGAIN! NEW ESC AND SERVO! EITHER THE WATER OR THE ESC MESSED WITH MY SERVO CAUSING IT TO GLITCH AND MAKE THE ESC GLITCH. SO I'VE FITTED A MTRONIKS TIO ROCK CRAWLER ESC WITH A CAP AND I REMOVED THE POWER SWITCH I'VE GONE FOR A DIFFERENT SERVO THIS TIME AS THE LAST ONE (ALTURN AAS750MG) DIDN'T LAST LONG. I'VE GONE FOR ONE OF THESE HTTP://WWW.HOBBYKING.COM/HOBBYKING/S...EHOUSE%5F.HTML LOOKS GOOD SO FAR AND SUPPOSED TO BE WATERPROOF, TIME WILL TELL. I ADDED AN O RING BEHIND THE HORN COVERED IN MARINE GREASE. ONLY RUN IT INDOORS SO FAR BUT WILL GET OUT SOON. ONLY PROBLEM IS NOW MY INDICATORS ARE THE WRONG WAY ROUND AS I HAD TO REVERSE THE SERVO ON MY TRANSMITTER. |

Update time! News tyres (trail busters), heavier shock oil (60wt), trimmed the arches and now running 3s power:firedevil: Also made a couple of tow ropes. |

Love your build and keep reading it. I am building a D110 from an SCX10 Rubicon. Doing a cheap body with the 4dr Rubicon/Dingo morphing together. Then eventually hack and stretch a D90 into a D110 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk - now Free |

Hah! nice and filthy! truck looks great. I bet it works better with those trail busters, I think they suit these trucks better. I am building a second defender with an scx-10 this time and following your design, its a great build.

I love it! Working on a similar build, although I'm sure it will never be as nice as yours! One question, I have been through all your build threads and did not find an answer. Did you trim the chassis rails in the rear, or do they extend slightly past the body and it's just hidden by the bumper? I can't quite tell from your pics. Fitting my D90 body to my SCX10 chassis, and I'm not sure if I should cut the chassis to fit inside the body at the rear. |

Thx mate My body is the exact same length as my chassis so it rests on top and is flush each end.

This is an awesome D90 build with some sweet details. I've been looking into these and I'm also going to be starting on a D90 half cab pick up style off the scx10 chassis as well. Again awesome job on this rig it's one of my favorites as well. |

Amazing Build... Wondering a few things: 1) What type of paint did you use to paint the exterior and did you use a clear coat? 2) How well does it crawl now? Thanks evan |

Hi mate I used Halfords car paint and yes I did clear coat it. Yes it's amazing the terrain it can get over. Very happy. |
