Snipers RC4WD Gelande 2

I was given a chance to build the new Gelande 2 from RC4WD.
So i jumped at the chance and received it in the mail.


once opened up all parts were packaged neatly in foam and clearly marked bags





everything goes together pretty quickly, and easy from the direction book provided, chassis is nice and stiff, all pieces fit really well.





The Gelande 2 comes with a 4 link rear suspension, and a 3 link front, both articulate well, and smoothly. all links are aluminum, along with the axles.





The transmission is a single speed, which makes the radio system nice and simple, but has a great look, along with the transfer case.




The links are marked to their lengths which is a very nice feature, helps to simplify assembly so there are no mistakes.



the steering links are also marked and are aluminum. and also has a BTA steering setup.



The drive shafts are plastic, but come with an aluminum collar to strengthen the joint, which most kits need to be purchased separately.



The kit comes with a big sticker sheet that has enough stickers for anybody to customize the G2 their own way.




I went with a yellow paint on mine

painted the roof flat black


the body is very detailed all the lenses are molded in orange and red to make assembly easy while making a great looking scale truck.



the mirrors are also a rubber like material, so the wont snap off the first time you bump them on a rock.
The kit also has a full interior, front and rear seats,door panels,dashboard,rear jump seats, even a rear view mirror.

overall the kit goes together easy and is great looking, and would be a great addition to anybodys scale truck collection,

I will be getting the electronics in soon, and hitting the trails.

Shakedown run pics.

What a great driving truck, I had a blast today, just wish I had some company out on the trail. Truck was very stable, even when on some side hills I was a bit worried but never tipped, it compressed the suspension, and was stable after that.The terrain today was very fine loose rock and some water, with a couple rocks here and there, the next trip will be more dirt and hills. looking forward to the next trip out.



Why you should not wheel alone, I winch bumper and winch is on the upgrade list.

I was impressed by the side hill ability





Over all impressed with the package that RC4WD has put together with new Gelande 2.

Yes, those are the ones.

It climbs pretty good for being out of the box, I have no weight in this truck as of now,
With the motor and trans being so far forward it really helps the climbing ability, and scale looks

Got the chance to see this in action today, man even with 1.55's it did great. Much more stable than I ever imagined it would be. Here are some pictures I snagged will Rick was wheelin'!

I even got a scale broken side glass now,
Bounced it off a rock ,

I got tired of ghost riding around, so I had some Minions hop in, they drove pretty solid all day on the trail, keeping up with the 1.9 and 2.2 rigs out that day, until their heavy foot caused a motor failure. Great day out with the G2, the truck performs great.
