Yeah my I painted the hood on my duster with duplicolor bedliner paint which has a matte finish like the original organasol paint they used on all the factory style hoods. Plus it cost me qtr-half what organasol costs.

Good to know, I'm still aways from paint but I know the old factory colors aren't cheap.

I can when I remove the roller fairlead, I'll be adding one if LockedUp Rc's fairlead kits that should be pretty flush with the tube.

Either you have one massive hand or that is one tiny chassis I suspect a little of both. I never got a chance to see this while it resided up north here but it looks pretty damn good. I like the mods you have done to it so far, keep it up

Ha! I really didn't notice that before but now that you mention it chassis looks really small. it's legal though, barely, I have to get some measurements up for you guys soon because I know for a damn fact my arm isn't that big

Thanks man! I'm actually leaning towards running this as a class 3 rig, and finishing my jeep or what's left of it as a class 2. I keep looking at this truck, and thinking, it's already good to go for g6 type events, and the chassis is really damn similar to the U4 type rigs...

So this may be my go to utility rig g6,class 3, and I may have to take it down and give it a run through the Glenn Helen track with the U4RC guys when that pro4 gets here.

Decisions, decisions

Yay!! Updates!

One of the things slowing this down was my lack of a radio, so I bought a new 4pls.
Also received a "small" package from LockedUp RC

Quick rundown
2 shirts
2 hats
Wheels
Rings
Cobalt driver tips
Rtr servo winch
Tons of scale hardware
Winch hooks
Extra winch spool
OD/UD gears
Winch saver
Tow strap
LockedUp pro hub kit
Hd 250lb winch line
And a bunch of stickers

This package came QUICK! Was well packaged and the machine work in these pieces is outstanding! Thanks Patrick

Now onto some update pics

Stuffs

New drivers, thank god for these. My old driver were as sloppy as a two doller h**ker passing out coupons.

And getting started on these beautiful wheels
I went the 8L trail wheels, Inspired rings, and chose to deck em out with that crazy scale hardware

Holy hardware! Got one wheels finished, time to dive into the rest.

More to come...

Started on the LockedUp RC Pro Hub kit next
Fronts: great detail on thes little guys.

And the rears

Each set comes with an extra lock nut, this is to clean the threads on your axle after cutting them so, mount your wheel wih the locknut and mark your threads, here I'll be taking out about 3mm

Make your cut and slowly back off the lock but to smooth out the threads.

The nice thing with these hubs is the nut inside them feels like its press/snap fit so no worries about losing it.

And, the end result

Ended up getting her back to a roller while photo bucket kept crashing on me

And while I waiting for photo bucket, AGAIN, I got her running
And put the first couple scratches in the paint.

Thanks Ryan she's coming along nicely, and I've got more done. I just need to give it a few minutes before I try and upload more pics, photobucket has me ready to throw my phone in the garbage.

Looks good home slice. Quite an impressive care package. I'm really stoked that you scored this spot. Your hard work is paying off. Keep up the great work on the build man. Just be sure to keep this truck long enough for your visit to Hawaii. I should have the JZ ready by the .
