| Gelande D90 Pickup
My newest project.... a shiny new Gelande 2! Not a big fan of the big boxy soccer mom defender. So decided to transition to a pickup. Cut the rear off. Built out the rounded rear window. The roof extension is layers of styrene laminated to proper thickness, then sanded round to match roof contour. Started drop bed last weekend... Tons of RC4WD goodies - Baja MTz'z, servo guard, mud flaps, diamond plate kit, lexan inner fenders( I typically make them myself, but got lazy hehe). Also some lockeduprc scale lugs and yes I left the stock nuts behind them for lack of shorter screws. If I can find a freaking winch bumper I will get one, otherwise I will need to fab one up... for my winch setup. Might do some tubing in cab and bed?... not sure Let me know what you think! Thanks! |

Its just under 11" wheel base on these Gelande models. Gonna cut out and build a proper tailgate today! Will have pics soon

Looking awesome! Great body work. Just a suggestion, might be worth pulling that bed back an inch and a bit for more stability on the trails, like a D110 pickup I have an 11" wheelbase rig and I am always thinking of pulling it out to 12 or 12.5 as you gain sooo much stability |

It should be ok only thing I was thinking if it was like 10" might want to drop trans down so drivelines aren't so steep but at 11"you should be ok. I can also see what artic fire is saying to but I think you would loose the looks pretty badly just my thinking

I have owned a few newbright jeeps, so the wheelbase is not an issue for me. Thanks for the tip though! Got a little more done on the tailgate. It will be hinged and operable. Got some new wheels, should be in this week. Got the interior painted and got my driver dressed for success.... |
