Default R2J Kustoms SWSC C2 EB....

Haven't done a build thread on anything in forever, so thought I would start one for my new C2 rig for SWSC this coming weekend!

Started out with a G6 kit and Dynamic Concepts narrowed EB body in styrene. Tube work is mostly solid 3/16" with a bit of DOM here and there so it doesn't become too big of a pig.

Specs:

Axles-
Locked Up R/C FI spools
43/13 HD gears in back
36/14 HD gears in front
Beef Toobs up front
RC4WD HD CVD's
RC4WD aluminum C's
Axial HC knuckles
R2j Kustoms stainsless steering kit
Locked Up R/C scale zinc screws
Custom CMS and panhard bar
Axial ICON shocks

Wheels & Tires-
Locked Up R/C Trail SLW 1.9's
Locked Up R/C custom cut Agile rings
Locked Up R/C scale zinc hardware & acorn lug nuts
Pit Bull 1.9 Madbeasts
Crawler Innovations Lil' Nova 2-stage foams

Trans-
Stock for now
MIP drive shafts

Electronics-
Tekin FXR 35t combo
Castle 10a BEC
Airtronics +400oz. steering servo
3Racing winch with LURC line & hook
Futaba 4PL

The eb body looks great with some 1.9s under it. Usually see wide gaudie 2.2s under em wb and tire size is very appropriatly done. Nice job shon!

Whats the plans on the interior?

Thanks man! They do look a lot better with 1.9.

I did a quick interior just to get it ready, but I did get a steel dash welded in. Most likely it will be a mix of styrene and RC4WD aluminum diamond plate.

Right down to the last second on both rigs, right Brian!

Thanks Pat! I was working on it Friday night still, the day before the comp. Wish I would have started a week sooner.

It performed as well as a new untested rig would and for someone that hasn't driven in a year Definitely needs some tuning, but in all I'm very happy with how it did. One of the changes being made is the trans and ESC/motor combo. I was lucky enough to win a Super Shafty bomb proof trans in the give away Saturday night, so along with that I ordered up a Mamba Max Pro and a Tekin 3300kV Pro4.

I really like this rig. I like all the steel work, super clean looking.

It was great meeting you, good to put a face with the name. We were in the same boat, I was building mine up until I left and even Friday afternoon was scabbing in the interior. Wasn't really sure how the Tundra would work and then throw some snow at it, made for an interesting first big comp.

Looking forward to the next one.

What ever happened with this rig? Probably one of my favorite DC body builds and I never saw it finished.

That's an awesome start!

What brand are the scale hubs that you're using?
