| New bright Jeep wrangler jk8 pickup truck conversion.
So I have had a new bright jk body for a couple years now and decided I wanted to convert it into a jk8 like this. I plan on making it yellow but without the window like so. I already had it built but decided to take it apart to clean. And replace. Was messing with the links got it working well. Taking foams out for better traction. I will be using a custom cantilever suspension in the rear on gmade piggy back shocks. In the front venom coil overs Running trex 60 axles axial transmission's and chassis. 12 turn brushed motor with a 24 tooth pinion and 80 tooth spur. Had a 35 turn with 8 tooth pinion and 87 tooth spur so it will be a lot faster now. Give it some speed. I'm also using rc4wd steel drive shafts. Gonna use my torque motor and gears for a winch. We will see how it works. |

UPDATE!!!! Got the plastic the way it needs to be. Now I just need to glue the two roof parts together and make a bed. And rear cantilever suspension. Here are some mock up pictures of how the back is going to look after. Cut the rear tale gate for the spare. Got the gas cans. Had to cut the interior but it still has full back seats. They are thin but still look full. And here are just some stance pictures. . Front doesn't look very different. Liking the look with the roof rack and light bar. On the roof. . Side view. Hope you guys enjoy. |

I like that look, something a little different. Kind of reminds me of an H1 in a way. Looks good without the fender flares too. Any thoughts on bringing the ride height up a hair? Many issues with rubbing?

I like where this is going! I thought it looked kind of military too.. might be the color.. Great job!! Oh, and thank you for not calling it a Brute.. makes me cringe every time people get that wrong and I'm not even a jeep guy. |

Yes plan on raising it. The rear is at max it's sitting on the chassis actually gonna put stiffer spring in the front. Yeah she rubs a little but it's not an issue it doesn't make it harder to turn it is a smooth rub. About the fenders agree completely. Very happy with the way it's turning out.

Trying to decide if I should paint it yellow (my favorite color) or leave it. . I agree i hate it too. This is a brute. What people are building are the jk8 you can even google it. Mine isn't exactly a jk8 I guess it's more of a jeep wrangler four door pickup haha. With stock wheel base. I don't know I haven't ever seen a real jeep like this. The yellow color I would do would be similar to this one, saw this at walmart.

Little update got the roof glued together. I used bondo body filler on the top. . I also used shoe goo on the under side because it dries really really hard. . Gonna sand down the bondo and re apply a couple times. To smooth and out and paint. |

What would y'all think about if I got these rims. Spyder lock rims? I could get them in yellow and make it look like one of my favorite jeep. . What do y'all think about the yellow on yellow? Except obviously. Mine is the pickup. Since I have to paint the roof black again I can paint the bed and the interior also. Also planned on painting the diff cover what ever color the jeep ends up. |

Here is a small update. Got the cardboard templet done for the full bed. this is the fender flare. have to have a cut out for the tail lights. I had to make room for the shocks in the fender because I will be doing a cantilever suspension. nice bed space. will be some room for scale accessories. dat stance doe |

Just saw a comment above about not calling it a brute....just to clear it up a JK8 and Brute are distinctly different and a JK8 is a bolt up conversion from Mopar. Coming along good too. |

Got it mostly done. these are the cantilever. Mounts. Using some 105 mm gmade piggy back. The bed I made. Got the spare tire strapped on. Back is fineshed. Put the roof rack and light bar on the roof. It has lots of travel. Gonna have to do some wiring don't switch out the front springs. And some what ghetto water proof it. Setup light bar someday I'll paint it. And someday winch and stuff. Also put on the side skirts. I'll post some videos at my Friends house he has a big hill with rocks and a waterfall. Once I get it waterproofed and every things more pictures when I get it closer to Fineshed hope you guys like it. Let me here what ya think |

She handles pretty when in the water haven't had a real good place to crawl her. So yeah but. I know these tires are not the best on rocks. Here are some poser pics. I found this picture of a 1:1 like mine. |
