Default Going Postal 2 Door JK Mail Jeep

well its been a while sense I have posted a build. had a lot happen in the past 6 months.... but im at it again. Getting My Class 1 rig ready for the ECSC next month...yep I know I better hurry up! the door jk's hit ebay about a year ago. I saw them and got one right away. Got it just before the ECSC last year. I gave the body to Chris At GCM when I was there and ask him to Design A chassis! I got 2! and this is my first build on one...they are well worth the money!!!! now I have seen many of these being built now days...I wanted something just a little different! well you never know when you may get an idea for a build... was outside when the mailman ran...he was driving a 2door JK.... now that's when I went back insdie and googled mail jeep....and found this!
its Just Way Cool for a mail jeep. so this is what mine will be.

parts list
2 door jk body
GCM Skelton Chassis
GCM Baja Wheels
RC4WD K 44 axles
RC4WD 1.7 Mickey Thompson tires
Spektrum Radio system
Novak ?? brushed or brushless NOT sure yet.
REAL CAR PAINT...
Custom Bumpers...Could not find any I like so I will make my own!

Steering wheel is on the wrong side.

Lots of right hand drive JK's up here where I live, a few Cherokees as well.

first update front bumper steel is from a 1970 chevelle truck lid...lol it rusted out in places...(my Full Time Job Right now is restoring 1970 Chevelle.)
I have been cutting metal out of truck lids to make patch panels..so some pieces to make a bumper would not be missed...using MIG welder to put it together.

(Black Shirt Covering Jeep WAS TO PROTECT IT FROM GRINDING SPARKS AND WELDING SPARKS)...Did a lot of that.

next is rear bumper...

Grey jeep is one I painted for a UNNAMED person...lol the 10th Anniversary

Really, is that jeep for the US Mail, as in USPS? I thought they were going broke... that's a blingy ass Jeep for going broke... now I know why postage keeps going up.

otherwise, I like your build so far and that bumper is sweet

got some more done. the rear body under the stock bumper was removed ...Same as 1:1.

the rear bumper was a little difficult! first attempt was bad!
second one looked much better. the original 1:1 had too many angles. so I simplified it to this one.

then added the shackle brackets.

Chris has the setup for this jeep. If any readers here haven't subscribed to his youtube channel, check it out. Talk about amazing engineering! He's Canadian, and talks funny, but his products will blow you away.
