Default Mrc 4runner

I wanted to build a 4runner for a while that resembled my own and I never drive my mrc pro anymore so I figured I would turn it into a 1.9 scale 4runner. Here's the parts I have. Mrc pro axles, tranny, mrc shocks, 380 torque master mini, scx rails, 1.9 pitbull rock beasts, tekin b1r and rc4wd wideners, ebay 1st gen 4runner body. I figure the slow speed will resemble my real 22re. This will be a slow build because I'm usually to busy now a days to build anything for myselfe even though I am a fast builder in nature. Ha well see what happens there. I will be using 3/16 DOM for bumpers, links, sliders and eventually the internal cage.

You going to cut the back off and make a bikini top like your 1.1?

Yes eventually. It's almost winter time so maybe I'll keep the top on tell next summer.

I decided to shorten the links so it would look more scale by adding another skid plate. Should work great.

First time I've seen this skid setup. Running a carrier bearing for the other shaft?

I might have some xl 1.9 swampers for ya to try.

Never mind. Just noticed the 1:1 tires. Carry on.

Squeezed in a little time to start the rear bumper. I will incorporate a sway bar into the removable bumper to.

I re built the rear bumper. I didn't like the welds so I brazed some solid 1/8" in a v shape instead. I also took the front axle apart to see why it was popping and I guess I forgot to put a carrier bearing back in last time I took if apart. Works great now. All ready for the race Saturday.

Very cool, i like it. I've always had a soft spot for the 4 runners.

How well do the mrc axles and hardware hold up? First time i saw a set in person i was surprised how much smaller everything is compared to an scx10 axle.

They work great with the mrc tranny and 380 size motor. I don't know if I would dare to throw any more power at them. It's great having all the clearance under the axles to.
