| PatM's new Class1 with a toyzuki twist
I needed a virgin rig to test my new chassis on so PatM was kind enough to donate his new class 1 for the test! Started off with a virgin JK Topless shot! New chassis to be installed! Electronics, transmission and receiver box removed Almost forgot to take a before shot of the ground clearance! Bumpers off One side frame rail removed! Little comparison shot! Obvious angled skid to help out when your high centered, Shock hoops added in, Servo mounting plates, Front frame rail raised to prevent drag link and panhard bar collision, added upper link adjustment to control anti squat, and a second set of holes for the skid so you can move your trans fwd (also lower) for longer link geometry in the rear where it counts! Other frame rail removed! Starting to go back together now! I started in the center with the skid as it is wider than any of the other chassis x members. The rails will pull in to the front and rear rails! This gives the frame a little triangulation keeping it rigid also! And finally the second side! Starting to look like a rig again! Here you can see the taper front and rear I was talking about. Bumpers! Ground clearance Imagine what bent rear links will do for you!! That's another build, this one is to make sure it fits with stock parts! Electronics and ready to drive! Next up was the body mounts. I had originally planned to use those little loops that come on the stock parts tree to mount the stock posts but they ended up making it to narrow to fit the holes in the body. Ended up using some small (2.5mm?) and threading them through the pin holes in the body posts! Perfect width now, Still adjustable (height and front to back), and now the pins go in from the side (easier to get to them under that stock cage!). Not sure why I didn't get a pic with 2 screws in each to keep em from rotating but they line up and work great! And heres a teaser of my FPV rig with the skid moved forward, longer bent rear links, toyzuki motor mount, Toyzuki CMS, And who knows what else !! Notice the strut rod keeping the motor mount in place! this is because the rails aren't channel anymore to lock it in place! Makes the motor mount clockable too |

Lol! That's the same room we built your rig in! Against the wall with the backside of a Spektrum banner as a white back drop! And all the sun light I could get!! I gotta find an extra inch in the hobby room for a photo booth!
