Default cboggs' 1.9 Ultra4

Since we are trying to get Ultra4 started up here in the PNW I figured I needed to get a 1.9 together for more drive time. Here's my start with a chassis I had laying around for awhile that was made by PinchFlat years ago. I also had some built and widened ax/xr axles from my old sportsman so I threw those under it which puts the overall width at 11" with the RC4WD Compass tires and Locked Up RC wheels. Lots more to come soon.

Hitec 7950
Tekin 10.5 and MMP
RC4WD Compass tires
Locked Up RC Rock Cutter SLW wheels
Kyosho Velvet shocks

Cool, I like how the body flips up like a funny car for easy battery changes etc.

I hate these Proline scx shocks, if they are at any kind of angle they bind bad. Anyone have a suggestion on some shocks that can handle some racing action? Are Traxxas big bores pretty much it?

I'm running the proline power strokes on my 1.9 u4 and gmades on my 2.2 u4. the power strokes work pretty good. but, are a little stiff. I've rebuilt the power strokes to soften them up. but, still need to get a softer spring kit. the gmades are just badass out of package.

Tested and approved on 4 cell, pretty sure Im ready for next Sundays Ultra4! I had to put some MIP driveshafts in to keep the plastic from twisting, so now Im good to go. Here's some pics all stickered up.

First Ultra4 race was a success! I had so much fun Im officially hooked on Ultra4 racing now. The car did good but I see some improvements that could be made to make it even better as I just barely beat out the Twin Hammer cars.

I sold this one off to Devlin (hotwheels000) since I switched to my UCFab chassis and the last time I saw it he was running ar60 axles and redone the rear shock mounts.
