Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.

I'm still trying to figure out if I'm going to make my own frame or just buy an SCX10/Ascender frame and go from there (with all of the right bends of course). Once I figure that out, the train will start to whistle and be on its way.

Scx10 would be easiest.

If the stock rails are long enough after the bends, that might be the best option. I would like to use the Tamiya Bruiser crossmembers, too.

If anyone is wondering, yes, I still have this project. During the summer I was burned out on the hobby and didn't want anything to do with it. Now that the cooler months are coming up and having a little more free time, I'll be picking this back up. The plans are still the same, just have to get all of the parts together and make them work as one.

Expect something... soon.

Lorena is back from the dead! (No pun intended). This weekend I’ll get to the details and painting. Should be pretty easy with the 1:1 being pretty banged up.

Looks awesome, there’s quite a few chopped like this here in Australia and it suits that body style well

When I saw the name of this rig I instantly thought of Eric Hagan, then saw the build and knew I was thinking of the right person!!

Ding ding ding! With some of his creations (vehicles, signs and catch phrases), it’s easy to figure out who the driver is.

Are you local to the Birmingham area?

I’m actually from upstate SC but I’ve done a lot of wheeling with him over the years. Morris Mountain, Choccolocco, Gray Rock, etc.

Very nice! We may have crossed paths a few times. Been to all of those parks many times throughout the years. I’m originally from Auburn so we also had the Great American Park before the previous owner sold the land.

It was actually a lot of fun to do this one. Especially that I had a ton of extra pieces just laying around and everything fit together so nicely.

Remember I cut up this body without a frame or anything to go off of. Who woulda thought, 4 years later, a RedCat Gen 8 chassis had the perfect proportions for this LC80 body. Just installed a “cheap and sleazy” 2012 Jeep JK interior panel that I’ve had laying around for years. Better than no interior!

Thank you sir! It was a fun one to finish up and finally say I used the body that has been sitting around for almost 5 years.

I have both of the license plates (in scale form and 1:1) that were used on Lorena in her lifetime. It’s only fitting to have them because of this wild creation. I’ll be putting the “BRKBIRF” one on as soon as I get another tailgate to complete the back end.
