Thumbs up A LITTLE different JK

This is my first real build so bear with me, it will be a slow one.

My wife picked up this eztec jk at hudsons for $20. SCORE!

Im using MRC axles, this body is narrow. Id say 1/12-1/14 scale.
Im hoping to use 1.9 growlers. Have 2 sets on the way.
Not to sure on drivetrain/motor yet.

Any suggestions or input is appreciated.

Started on making a frame. Using graphed poster board. Cool stuff.
Here's the jk, frame #2, frame #1 (didnt even get off the paper), and... my gut.

Got frame #2 cut out. Pretty close.

Not close enough. Cut out frame #3. You can see the slight difference on the back side of the wheel well.

BOOM! Frame #3 is a fit!

Now all i have to do is give this to a friend that has a friend with a CNC plasma table.

May be a while before the next real update. In the mean time, Ill be on the lookout for a transfer case, motor, and tranny.

Default Re: A LITTLE different JK

So my friend with the cnc plasma has been super busy due to christmas. I plan on ordering some ebay frame rails tonight to see if i can hack them up and make them work for now.

Im hoping Toyzuki will release a swb rail kit soon...

Anyway. I did some rough fender trimming and i just may be able to use the 1.9 pittbull rockbeasts. I still need to clean up the cuts and tub the rear a little.
