Default Chevy "Bloody Bastard"

Hi,

After my old daily driver started to fall to pieces it was time for a new one, just a truck i could count on. Simple, sturdy, fun. I started out with a Dingo Kit, some aftermarket parts and pieces of old Tamiya Bodies.

Initially i wanted to use Axles of a different Truck that has been sold dirt-cheap here in germany, thats why the project started out as a "bastard".

It actually took a while to get the rims to rust. They spent a winter outside.

...to be continued!

Very nice... I'm glad I'm not the only one crazy enough to pinch and dove-tail an old Clod body...BAM!

It does look BAM! indeed

The truck is actually finished by now, but i dont want to dump all the pics at once. So here we go, the next batch:

I wanted to do something different from all the truggy-style cages, so dove-tailing it was the logical step (for me, at least )
I know its a bit risky, because its hard to get it look right, but I just went for it.

Filling the void with details:

And here is a little something for fun: Who knows what it's going to be?

I cut out two triangles, bent the fenders inside and glued it together.

Here you can see the seams:

(That was its former life as a "Cloncho")

EDIT:

Just like this:

Ol' Greenie... Just another 'yota axled Chevy...
