Default DrewHammer's new C2 - Burnt Ends

Hey everyone!

Metal work started on the new C2 build, it's time to start a thread. I'm starting up a local SORRCA based race series to get people more interested in scaler comps, so I needed something to compete in C2 with.

Parts -
SCX10 axles, lockers, vvd's, VP 8 degree stuff and lockouts. UD gears rear, HD gears front
Toyzuki motor mount
stock trans converted to transfer case, may switch back to toyzuki
DLUX lathed big bores with zero preload cups and mini t springs
JCAD RULR's
Proline Early 50's Panel wagon, super cut up lol
Scalerfab front bumper and custom rear (I'm lazy and these are nice)
3/16 .028 stainless roll cage
custom sliders starting with some rc4wd garbage
HH team puller 11t
HH BRXL
Turnigy Graphene 950mah 2s
Hitec 7950 @ 8.4V
Locked Up Gear Jammers and scale hardware
CI Comp Cut Mediums
Proline XL Swampers

And the current status. Got a late start today so I didn't get the cage finished, but the main roll hoop is in and sliders are done. Hoping tomorrow to have the rest of the cage complete, tabs on and start an interior next week. The body in these pics is temporary, the final version won't have body post holes, this was just for initial setup to make sure that sliders, etc were in the correct spot without having to worry about keeping the body in one place.

Had a chance to work on this some today before it got too hot in the garage.

Rear part of the cage is just about done. Now I'm considering hacking out the rear section of the frame and just making it a truggy. It'll definitely help out in the points category.

Super late reply, but correct.

Finally got around to getting some more work done on this. This weekend was my first day off since July. Cage is pretty much done. Only a few weeks left to get the interior done for crawl-a-palooza.

New body without post holes and a tilt test. I can roll it another 10-15 degrees and it returns to the sidewalls. Super stoked to see how this turns out, even if it's still missing the esc, servo winch, interior and steering servo. I already know this thing is going to perform great.

Also got some black 3/16 UHMW to make slider filler panels. Interior should be well under way in by the end of the week.

Thanks!

So I had it out this weekend and it performs superb!

Upgraded to the new SSD SCX10.2 Diamond axles with VP gears internals and designed a new transmission for it.

Time to get on a full interior for it.

One more post on this, finally got my vendor star.

I'll be posting some stuff formally in the new products and vendor sections in the next couple hours to go along with this. A couple months ago I wound up starting work with Dinky R/C and quickly developed some new items for us. One of these is our new Dinky Divorce Kit.2. We have a few different motor mounts we're doing and I have been heavily testing the "comp" setup.
