My first plan is to cut off the X-Trails shock mounts . The SCX-10 shocks are abit long in sprung form . So I will be using the SCX-10 shock hoops left over from the Blazer build . This will raise the shocks about 1/4" lowering the frame that much .This will be done front and rear . The wheels are the 26mm 0 offset stock car wheels. After seeing them I was like this is not going to work . So I cut the interbead off and then added it back to the front side . I think they look much better now . more to come |

| Thanks Me too and thanks Well I ended up going with the Proline 1980 CHEVY Pick-up long bed #3248-00 It will get my rust paint job on the inside. Maybe some junkyard panels ,maybe a few new panels and I'm think a primered bed . We will see , I have been lazy on getting started on the paint . :-P |

| I like the old Chevy Bodies for sure . I did some horse trading today . I got some Proline bumpers and a 3Racing winch on the way . I also started on the paint(no pics till it is done) . I did do my rust paint job on the inside . Then I layed down some silver on the outside first to look like metal . It has a black hood ,green right front fender , blue and white bed with primer on the tailgate . Last edited by Badd; 02-11-2010 at 05:33 PM. |

What are the lengths of your top links? I stretched my wheelbase with only the bottom links so far and the pinion angle is pretty bad, I plan on 4-linking it front and rear.

I started off doing my rust coat on the inside . Then I painted the outside Silver (to look like raw metal). Next I painted to bed blue . Next I painted the hood Black (to look like a new panel). Then I moved to the right front fender . I painted it a dark green . Then the cab and both doors got a coat of red . Then the left front fender got a shot coat of primer . Some new window rubber . :-P Next the bed got a white strip . Oh and some bondo work on the bed . There was a little rust around the other tail light . Had to shoot some prime on it for now. one more pic |
