Updated pics with fabbed rear shock towers using the tapered chain half links. Also sandblasted chassis, painted flat Black and started assembly. REAR TOWERS HIDING UNDER BED ALL PARTS SANDBLASTED READY FOR SOME FLAT BLACK I also decided go another route with axles. RPP had a damn 15% off sale a bit ago and I accidentally bought parts for full built VP CURRIES. I removed the anodize from the diff colors to give them some distinction. I think they turned out awesome! PAINTED AND READY FOR ASSEMBLY Also, again I'm using a Bulldog trans with the Hammer t case, utilizing the smaller drive gear in it to overdrive the front axle! Ill be using a Holmes Custom Pro 21t brushed...... Probably my most favorite motor i've ever ran PERIOD!!!... ultra smooth low, pretty fast and ultra torque!!! |

Got some tires in today I've been waiting 2 months for. .. very excited about these. I think they are going to kick arse! I needed a full positive offset wheel and Motoworx was the place for this build!! I don't prefer the stock foam for competing. ..TOO STIFF and too wide.... but would be fine for guys that trail and G6 so i stuffed them with 4.25 CI foam which are also a little wide for a 4.19 so i did a little trimming in the inner foam width to make sure they fit to my preference. Also got some poser shots of body on and axles mounted. Shocks are undecided at this point. Also rebuilt my Hammer case with LURC bearings |

I run a steel fabrication shop so i have lots of tools at my disposal. My preferred tools are a dremel, some good sets of pliers, i use Snap-on channel locks and needle nose and of course a good bench vise comes in handy. Also a brazing torch setup on a full size torch to get the most heat available for nice braze joints. On to some close-to-finished pics. Dash axles and body mounted just gotta install lights and electronics. | |

Winch is mounted and new motor, picking up a Tekin RS this week to run the 17.5t Redline motor. Ive had this one around awhile. It has the the upgraded Tekin 14.5mm torque rotor. This motor is butter smooth and should perfect for C1 Shimmed the axles properly for the driveshaft I'm using. Also made some limit straps for the rear so I don't pull out the tiny MRC shock rod ends. Also made a plate to go between the battery and trans output to help protect the Lipo and attached wires to. Just got to finish interior and this will be done. |
