Default FJ Cruiser K2-4 build

So here I go, this is the plan
FJ Cruiser Body
K2-4 Chassis
Highlift Axles
1.9 Hummer Wheels with Narrow Reduced Claw Dawg Tires
Captured Springs with TLT shocks
3 bar panhard setup (hopefully)
Pede Tranny
45t motor
This is what I have to start with

Approximate height, might go a little higher but if things work out it will have more down travel than up travel

Not much for Michael Jackson around here, the kid just decided that would be the best place to be during the pictures, he is used to being in every picture. Thanks for the compliments!

ebay, you can easily get one for less than $50 and considering everything that is on it that's pretty cheap.

It will be at least done enough to drive, it may not have all of the finishing touches though. I wan't something to compete in the 1.9 class and this should kick a$$.

Thanks

Well I made some pretty good progress tonight. I definately had to make a couple of changes. First the pede trany had to go. Maybe its just me but I could not really find a good way of mounting the pede tranny. It just say too high no matter what so I stole the r2 out of my comp rig and I guess I will have to get another now. I also ended up using some springs from a rc18mt. Its turning out pretty good so far, linkage is done besides I have to mount the front panhard still. Shocks are not mounted yet but I believe I will have shock towers with the shocks mounted on the outside. The Highlift axles are definately harder to mount some things to.
What's done so far

Articulation view although its not really true because the front panhard is not done and the shocks are not mounted which I am sure will limit it more.

Body on top shot. Obviously the chassis will need to be cut some to get it to the right height.

I just drilled the holes with a 7/64 bit and then used a 3mm screw to tap them all and threaded them right in. Pinch Flat gave me the tip and it worked great!
I really don't know how I would do a linkage set up with highlift axles and not do the three bar/panhard, there is no possible way to triangulate anything well.

So here's tonights work so far
I finished the suspension linkage
Set up the shocks, I know they are not even angles but with the mounting points they are actually the same extension. I am not saying they will stay there forever but they work for now.
There is a very good chance I will have to put different springs on, these are too soft with everything on.

True articulation shot.

I got quite a bit done tonight. Basically it is up and running but there are definately some things that need to be fixed. Body is mounted, electronics are hooked up.
Still to do:
Fix radio problems, I think I have a bad receiver
Stiffer springs
Shorten the front wheelbase a little more so the tires clear the wheel wells better
Make some sort of skid plate, the tranny gets hung up way too easy
Cut the bolts on the bottom of the axles, depending on the springs I hope I can flip them so the bolt heads are on the bottom
Bumpers, if anyone has any suggestions please let me know.
