Default Using an RC4WD winch with FlySky GT5

I am currently building an SCX10 II with a hobbywing ESC and a FlySky GT5 transmitter and receiver. I decided to add a winch to the build. I picked up a RC4WD winch and a wired controller to use, unfortunately I am having some issues getting the winch to work with the controller. Does any know how to get the winch to work with the FlySky controller?

you need to setup your aux channel as a 3 position momentary switch. it should work after that

Hi Guys, Are you able to use Ch5 or Ch6 with a servo winch as well? Typically use momentary 3 pos switches but wanted to see if the potentiometer knobs would work in some way. Any suggestions or insight?

You can certainly use one of the pot channels connected to the winch controller. Only issue with that is you won’t have a defined center or off on that switch so it could make stopping the winch exactly when you want difficult

SO I've been using it for a while and though it does work, you're right about the exact off position. Its fine but it is a Pain in the butt. Not only do I have more difficulty finding the off position, I have to use both hands on the transmitter so yet another pain.

I did see a few posts about removing the pots and using a 3 pos switch so that's something I might consider.
