Default CC-01 Parts Goof! Look at this...

From a new Tamiya CC-01 VW Touareg Kit. I dont think the spline in the bevel gears are going to match up very well with the ones on the gearbox joints. This is very unlike Tamiya and I have never had to deal with them directly on something like this in over 20+ years of building Tamiya models. Any suggestions from other builders on how to obtain replacements would be appreciated...

I had the exact same problem with my Touareg kit. Luckily I had a spare set of diff gears for a TLT and they fit perfectly.

The fix was simple...
Called Tamiya, talked with another cool guy named Eric and he found some spare large bevel gears and put them in the mail. This is all after me telling him I couldn't wait to send the wrong ones back to them first and then they would send the correct ones out. Like I said before, this was very unlike Tamiya, but has it happened to anyone else out here? I would like to hear about it...

Very strange, Built mine a couple months ago and all was well.

Perhaps they have changed the design of the gears, and they happened to get some old mixed with new?

So yeah, the TLT bevel gears work perfectly. But Maybe I should send my slotted ones in too and get another set of correct gears.
