I went with some metal work today. I'm going to try to get the shock mounts done tomorrow.

Detailed the rear bumper and fabbed up the hitch, appropriate for the year I'm building.

Thanks...trying to get it as scale as I can. I used the process from my 1/6 CJ6, just scaled it down to this.

Wow...I can't believe it's been so long since I've updated this. Motivation has been a little lacking lately. Got the chassis almost complete...just need to get the motor and tranny mounted in there.

I used the RC4WD K44 U-bolt kit for some added detail. For those that may want to use this kit...only use it as an added detail. The U-bolts themselves are made of aluminum with M2 threads and steel nuts. I don't see these holding the axle in place very long, before stripping out.

I used the center holes in the plate with M3 screws to bolt them to the axle mounts. I also had to grind away some of the material around the passenger side of the pumpkin flange to fit the U-bolt on there. On a 1:1 axle, that spot has a U-bolt that is actually a larger diameter. It's in a spot where you can hardly tell and once I weather all of it, you'll never even see it.
