Default Tierra Del Fuego Camel Trophy Defender

Hi guys,
Not new to the forum but its been a while since I posted. Here's my Camel Trophy Gelande 2 defender 110. Its a standard rc4wd gelande chassis and body with a custom interior i designed and printed and custom graphics too(that I also sell on eBay) based on the 1998 Tierra Del Fuego Camel Trophy rally. I just thought it was kinda cool the 110s were there purely as a suppport role. The roof rack is by HKlegendsRC.
Things I'd like to do:
Make the suspension more scale
Maybe go 1.7 and keep tire diameter
Raise the drive line(gearbox, transfer etc) so that the more scale suspension can clear it.
Put a V8 CChand bonnet on it, matt black(maybe)
If anyone has advice on a few of those items id love to here. I know team raffee does low clearence axle trusses, i wonder if they work on Yotas and not just PHAT axles.
I'm not too pushed about keeping it truely trophy spec, I wouldnt mind going downj the route of a retired, resto modded 110.
Anyway hope you enjoy the pics
Daniel

Beautiful job!!! I really love the decal with splash of colour! Too many plain desert coloured trophies out there (sorry don’t hate me). With a little use, scratches &/or weathering; I’d look fantastic!
Not sure of clearance issues (haven’t had that specific chassis).
I go between my 1.55 and 1.9’s, prefer the 1.55 for looks. I agree that the 1.7’s would probably be about perfect.

Completely agree, going to up the weathering detail soon. 1.7 landies would be a game changer. I find the boom racing trophys look perfect size wise as a tire but are then let down by the 1.9 wheels.
The suspension I find on the rc4wd gelande 2 chassis maxes out where it should be settled. If it compresses anymore the driveshaft will hit the gearbox. Looking at land rovers IRL the suspension compresses so much the wheels almost dissappear in the wheel well. I love the chassis though for looking so scale.

I've revised the suspension on the 110 and I'm delighted with how it looks. Great forward thinking by the chassis designer to leave scale link mounting positions in place, made the conversion quite easy. I'll post the components I've designed. I had to update the transfer case holder, the driveshaft brace and the engine mounts.

Thanks Lou!

Here are a the new driveline mounts I made which increase the clearance by 9mm.
-Transfer case mount
-Driveshaft holder
-Left transmission mount
-Right side transmission mount
I cant wait to test them out on the trails. they should do well, I've made them out of 100% fill ABS print.
