i finally found a montero body that wasn't a arm and leg to get.

this will be my new C1 toy for our local comps.

the body is very short so i stretched it and reshaped jk fenders to fit.

started on this again.


made seat belts.





started the cage.






the spare will site on the cross tubes. need to get the chassis going because the rest of the spare mount attaches to the bumper.

started the bumper. ordered some parts from MadDogRC for it, so just waiting for it to show up so i can finish.

got the chassis started. cut inch an quarter off the rear and front.






the front is set up for droop.






my plan was to use axial axles but they where just a little to wide, so i bought D90 kit from Devlin. am using its drivetrain and what ever else i can make work from it.

had to redo the bumper. the parts wouldnt work with it.

the outside holes are for the small axial lights.

the rear shocks had to go inside the frame. the wheel well sits right where they would go if ran out side.

dont know if this has already been posted but i found the TLT mounts have the same bolt pattern and the width is perfict size to go over the mount on the axle.




i wonted the shocks to sit inside the tlt mounts but they where hitting the frame when it flexed.






one shock will flex a little more than the other like this. but i can live with that.

This is looking very sharp great work man. Sorry I didn't mean to copy your head light covers just seen this this morning oh well every body run then in the 80s lol I did mine yesterday afternoon hahaha

started working on this again. got the tube doors on.






finally got the spare mount done. the tire strap is made for a bigger tire so i will have to resow it up tighter.
