Default F350 Question...

am a newbee and i am in the process of building my F350. just finished mounting the axles and i only got a 1.5 inch of articulation. the leaf set-up i used is the one in the manual.

any suggestion or info on how i can increase the articulation of the f350. pics is very much appreciated.

thanks in advance...

Yep, the Diaz springs make a world of difference. You might even need to use TLT shocks with springs if you use a heavy body. They're pretty soft. Also be sure to use a traction bar to prevent axle wrap.

Another option is to use only the main leaf and taper the eyes (Chino mod). But the leafs will warp pretty bad if you beat on it, and will sag pretty badly after a while. Go with the Diaz springs.

another newbee question about the high lift. got it running today just for test run. is it ok to shift gears while running? i ask this question because when i run the h-lift and i shift the gears from mid to high (that is while it is running), i heard some sort of "click" sound. is this normal or not?

thanks and hope to hear from you...

well i figured-out now to set-up the connection of the shift servo, steering servo and the ESC in the receiver (i'm using a futaba 4wd attack). i messed in my first attempt coz i think i connected the ESC and the shift gear servo the wrong place.

my previous set-up:
left stick (with shift gate) : CH3 = shift gear servo
CH4 = vacant
right stick : CH1 = steering servo
CH2 = ESC

i think this is the reason why i noticed some difficulty and some sort of "clicking" sound when i shift gears while running (throttle + shift gears at the same time). i think that you should not do that at the same time to prevent stripping gears or breaking the shift fork. so i set it up like this;

new set-up
left stick (with shift gate) : CH3 = shift gear servo
CH4 = ESC (throttle)
right stick : CH1 = steering servo
CH2 = vacant

can anyone who uses a futaba attack 4wd radio system in their h-lift tell me if my new set-up/connection is correct or not? if wrong, how should i connect the esc and the servos in the receiver?

thanks and looking forward for some helpfull infos.
