| My F-350,it is 2.2 rims now
hi guys, just like most of the crawlers here, I am a big fan of Bruiser and Hilux, when the F-350 comes out, some people said it is the new Bruiser, which is a big lie!! I was very disappointed when I received the F-350, it seems like the combination of TLT and 1/14 truck, lots of plastic parts doesn’t look like the Bruiser at all!! So, the F-350 was put behind for awhile, until some day I saw the option frame kit by MONO,I decide to start my F-350 project... any way,I try to get the" disco ball "metel axies and get everything assambled, which still make me feel odd Somebody suggest me that I should go for 2.2 ,so I ordered the HPI yokohama tires and rpm rims which not received yet, I've try to explane what I did but pictures will tell!! first,I put the body stay in upper position which you might need to fix the mechanism deck a little bit,as you could see the picture that will raise the body about 12mm cut out the plastic platfrom on the machanism deck ,I belived that is something for the multifuction unit. then,I use spacers on the back to raise the bed about 10~12mm I put the steeling servo in front and use the metel spacer to lower both 2 servos about 15mm it would be look like this: Then,I've got a motor mount which is used for the thunder tiger electric bikes and a fiberglass motor mount which is used for the rc glider, you could reverse the motor 180 and that will be look like the picture below... You might notice that the main purpose of doing this is try to put the MR.Hilux in the cockpit,I think that is the spirit of Bruiser!! how could a 3 speed rig without the famous Mr.hilux driver!! After received the aftermarket clear windsheld which is made from guy in Tamiyaclub,I've try to put on ,then took it off because the size is not quiet fit and the quality is not what I want. One of my friend also mailed me the pictures of the interior in real F-350,the hilux cockpit is way different then that should be!!kind of frustrate... Some people from my blog also wrote me that they having hard time find the thunder tiger motor mount and hilux driver.... then I dicide to go for the 2ed section of modify! Forget of the driver and cockpit ,I go for modify the transmission box first!! the original gear is 54T/16T=3.3,I asked local hobby shop to order few parts for me, after read clearly both instruction manuals of F-350 and king Hauler,I replace the gear shelft A and fixed the mount to lower the motor, that the gear became 36T/10T=3.6 and fits good, that the motor still could be in 180 position that I could put right interior anytime, but the truck could be finished first !! here is the end, thanks for share with me!! BuyBruiser, please combine all your posts into one post when posting. There is no need for you to post one right after another. Your links to your pictures are also not working -Mike |

| That looks sick. if u want i think it would look sick if u took the steps off and put 2 big pipes coming out before the wheels like a lot of the powerstrokes do. |

that looks sweet! I think you should do one big exhaust, like the banks 5" exhaust kit just my opinion though. Other than that it looks sweet

I love it. That's one of the best HL builds i've seen. Especially love the color you painted it. Excellent work.

Very nice , one of the things you will notice, besides better axle clearance, is more top end speed due to the larger tires and wheels, i know i loved mine the minute i swapped the stock for the erickson 2.2 and geo's.

im still new to this as you can see from my number of posts...after reading, i see now that you have to "cut and shut" the bigger tires to fit the smaller rims...i guess thats why i am sitting here clueless with geos in one hand and TE37's in the other. anyway i dont mean to take away from this thread. the truck looks good! i am amazed every day with the level of ingenuity on this site.
