looking good man... yea unfortunately I had to sell my welder and most of my tools during my divorce so I am back to soldering... for now... I never intended on running it hard enough to break the exo... so soldering was fine. can't wait to see what you do with it.

Yeah, I re-soldered everthing back on your exo and put it on the shelf. The gear reduction is great with the lathe in it now. I'm more excited about this build than any build I've done in awhile. Thanks again for the deal. I'll always owe you Can you break down what you did on the wheels? I've had several people ask. | |

thanks! glad you like it. the wheels are indeed hpi stock car wheels... I just cut 1/4" from the backs of 4 old touring car wheels and glued them to the face of the stock car wheels... then cut the rear lips (to the outside of the inner bead lip) off to narrow them back up. makes a very realistic looking rock crawler wheel.

Looking good, I wondered who bought that jeep. Can't wait to see the detail that goes into it.

Nice work Jeff, the new stinger looks awesome, I liked the other one but I felt it was slightly to big, the new one looks much more realistic. Keep up the good work on it -Mike |

| I need some good pix of your old Bruiser based YJ, especially the rear bumper/tire carrier. That rig was sick. Where did it end up?

Holy crap get smacked around and you start posting tech. Looks great. I personally like the black wheels with the silver rings myself. Of course that is reflective of my dark humor. If you get the roof rack right I will take one as well. |

| Thanks Jeff, Ill admit I have had some pretty tempting offerings for it, but I just cant part with it, its way to cool with the swing put carrier and all. For now it sits safe and sound in show case... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...a/000_0141.jpg I am actually thinking of giving it an update, I really like the way your body is cut and I am thinking of taking off my real working jeep rear tail lights that I got and doing a round LED like I had on my old 86' CJ, I am also thinking of painting it all Orange with a black top and fender flares etc... I'll see, maybe a summer time project |

Got the wheels and painted them up. I still have to strip the ano and polish the rings. I started on the rear bumper/carrier last night. I hope to get the rear rack done today. I did'nt like my first attempt on the bumper.

those wheel are awesome! RC4WD you say? Wow! Anyway...I like to grade these projects. So....what I do is set a standard....or....a benchmark if you will: Of course, perfection would be my YJ.....a 10.....or course. And as you know, I am very accurate and detailed in my judging and grading. So..using the traditional 1-10 scale....again....mine being perfection, I would give your project this grade: 7.454934986433454996897594540394307340820912172359 82547071987209578205983689666 Now, I realize that it is in the initial stages of the build, however, I have confidence that you will easily get your grade to a much more desireable: 7.455780987590867290857086790871098751987513458907 13576143510459871356458927458971098751438778845481 14089475109845790126296872945723566782345896712435 9786254872356897666. I have confidence in you Jeff! You can do it. Set your goals high and try to attain achievement that has only been pipe dreams to others and strive to perfection that only I know of.
