Default Another K5 Build

here's what i've been working on. 1.9 based trail rig. home made chassis and pretty much the standard running gear, pede, 55t lathe, tlt axles amd so on.

more pics of the build.
http://www.texasoffroad.net/galleries/members/album204

in the last set of pictures you can see that i added some sliders. it's a really simple way to make them.

i used 3/16 brake line that i had left over from a tuber i started a while back and some 4-40 all thread.

i sleeved the all thread with the tubing leaving 3/4 all thread exposed then bent the two to the measurement i needed. really simple.

i might change the to a larger tube though. all i need to do is paint them.

edit:
here's what i'm using..
pede tranny with 81 spur
55t lathe with a 15 pinion
hitech 645 for steering
tp 995 for winch
moped esc
tq3 tx rx
and that's about it.

made a rear bumper with tire mount using some pvc board that i picked up from my nephew, he works in a sign shop. the board was 1/18 thick so i cut two pieces and ca'd them together to make it 1/4. then i used a body post for the mount.

Awesome work, I'm really liking your paint scheme, reminds me of the 70's Pontiac Firebirds. Cool idea on the rear bumper/tire mount as well.

Nice job on the bumper. I've been trying to think of a way to make a bumper/jack/gas can carrier for the rear of my D90...this idea looks good! I like the Blazer too!

Nice touch with the nuts on the tie-rod, and how did you get the license plate? I want one. Texas state law says you need a front plate too. Better get that taken care of.

also you should paint your body clips body color to make them less noticeable.

i swear i had posted that somewhere before, sorry if i did.
