Default 1.9 Crawling at Noccalula Falls w/Pics (56k Warning)

I got the chance to go crawling this weekend with another member of the forum nodnarb81. He has recently built a 1.9 Scout and we were curious to see how the 1.9's would do compared to my hacked up 2.2 rig. He was running the mudslingers and I had moabs. I was suprised big time. The 1.9's went almost everywhere I went with 2.2's The mudslingers were super sticky on the rocks and his rig got way more compliments from onlookers as mine did for looking so real. We later put some highlift tires on my rig and I actually liked the way it did with the smaller tires. 1.9's are way more fun. On the way home I stopped at the lhs and picked up some stock car wheels and a Parma 57 Chevy pick up body. I ordered my mudslingers last night. I am now glad to be a part of the 1.9 crowd. Now on to the pics...Enjoy!

Nice pics! Looks like you lost the outboard motor to the zodiac, though.:-(

The hole of doom is a 100 foot waterfall. My wife was constantly saying that is close enough. If you go over you are going to get as much money as you spent on that thing. She did a good job with the pics but no video. The outboard came off the raft a few times but we always got it back. This is what the falls looks like when its not so dry. Is there anyone near north Alabama that would be interested in a gtg at the falls? the falls are a pretty good place for 1.9s. anything bigger than that is is hard to find anything really that challenging. nothing organized just a gtg. let me know. it would be nice to have something in the fall when it cools off some here.

Thanks for all the great comments about our afternoon of crawling we had a lot of fun. I am just starting on my 2.2 to 1.9 conversion. I am going to run the same chassis because I have been tweaking it for about a year and it works pretty good now. Its not scale but its what I like. This is what I've got so far.

I've got to shorten the wheelbase and I don't like the savage bumper so it is coming off. Maybe I can get to work this weekend and start a build thread. Here you go greasypete more pics.
