It is flat and you have a choice of using either decals or photo-etched badges.

I'm using photo-etch.

Sacco

if you want a painted rusted look go to michaels craft store. there is a product called "sophisticated finishes" by triangle crafts. they are a two part paint process. there is a kit or you can buy them seperate in different quantities. the rust one is an iron metal paint you apply first, then after it dries add the rust solution or you can leave it outside like i do here in washington state.. i use it for rusting my model trains.

Pete's rust is nice, but I'm barely 1/4 the way through my build.

The rubber fender flares on this year Toyota don't rust.
