Default Toyota Hilux 1.9 first scale build

Well ive been sitting around here and on other sites looking att all you guys scale rigs and i got so inspired i had to build my own, i move slow but i like it, keeps me busy theese dark days of winter in sweden, i link you to a swedish site where i have posted pics of the build.

Maybe i start posting pics here later on as well but for now i cant stand posting all the pics again.

I have just bulit a pair of rocksliders today, waiting on the rearaxle from rc4wd (have waited for over a month..grrr), so i cant get it a roller yet, but i guess i just have to wait...

Yea i know, im not to happy with how the chassie look on this body but i will do what i can do to make it look as good as possible.

Well i got some time and did some progress on the lux today, its all still on mock up stage, some things need to be painted and mounted up, but i got the rear bumper on,front bumper/skid, maybe i will do some tubing around it but thats for later, waiting for that rear axle kills me!!..well here comes the pics...

Rear bumper before fine sanding.

Mocked up on body.

Mounted to body with shackles on.

Winch mocked up, what u guys think about the fairled..to far out?

Overview with everything i got for now mocked up.

...thats all for now, have to figure out how to mount the vinch it self, there aint much material on it to use screws, let see about that later!

Default Good looking truck

Man alot of people are not happy with the steel girder frame rails on these. I like your truck but I was wondering is it the angle of the camera or is the Winch tipped a little down in front. I would keep it level but if you have a theory or system going I take it back. Like the flarehead though very beefy looking.

Thanks guys! ill keep the frame for now, i will see how it works when its done, yes the winch is tipped a bit forward but thats just how the skid is, maybe i bend it a bit backwards later but i dont like to play with alu that way!

About the rear bumper, a few months ago when i was looking around on scale rigs i never thougt i could do parts from scratch, but now i love to do it even tho sometings arent the best i still enjoy it alot! just try it, with some determination and take your time and you will makeing parts all over your truck!

I have also redone the winch, now its made of aluminium!! Got tired of spending hours on that delrin winch, went to a friend who got a lathe and he did 2 parts who looked something like the one before, looks sooo much better and now it sits tight between the skid and body..sweet! pics coming later today...

...so i got home and got some pictures for you guys, i have now mounted the winch to the skid, was a lot easyer with the alu winch, 2 holes and it sits tight and looks really good from my eyes, also have redone the fairled so it doesnt stick out as much as it did before, looks way better now!

Enough talk here comes the pics...

Here with redone fairled mounted, with wire on, the hook is temporary, bent it myself from a screw!

...thats what i have for now, next i will try to mount steer servo and servo winch. Enjoy!
