| My First Scaler /Flatbed Ford
I finally got enough spare parts to try my hand at a scaler. I won a raffle for an AX-10 crawler at the East Coast Championship back in April, and used the AX-10 axles for my crawler. I had to use my old faithful TLT axles for something. Trying to do my best with what I have. I'll post my progress as it comes along. Proline 1970 F100 Cab, Tamiya TEU-101BK ESC, Hobbico CS150 Steering Servo, 1/4" plywood for bed K2-3s Chassis, TLT Axles (rear w/ EZ Designs Truss), Axial Tranny, B&B Axle Snapper 55T Motor |

Cleaned up the rear axle a bit to look a little more scale. Last edited by Mudturd; 08-01-2008 at 10:33 AM. |

The 1/4" plywood isn't going to be very scale, but I needed something sturdy for the tumbles. Put some black lines to add detail for after the stain goes on. Last edited by Mudturd; 08-01-2008 at 06:26 PM. |

| I used some spare plywood to make a mount for the electronics and battery. |

If you put on leaf springs that truck would be a killer scaler |

Thanks again everyone for the compliments! Quote:
I plan to do that real soon. Finally got it running, but I need to make a few adjustments. Need stiffer springs, trim the body a bit more, and limit the travel in the shocks...I'll post a video sometime soon. I hope the wood bed holds up. | |
