This could be a very cool build! Can't wait to see how it turns out. Personally, I would narrow those tires. Also, I'd go 4-link because it would be more realistic to a modern Jeep. That's just my opinion. |

looks cool, you should try doing the steel roll bar out of square tube to continue the original concept scheme... |

Without knowing measurements I say you should narrow them. I dont think the tires will be that close withe the axle. Most jeep bodies I have seen are small. |

Yea I would go with narrowed wheels. With a little work you can really bring out the details on that body. It may be hard to blend the look of a tube cage with that thick framed windshield. |

my thoughts: -no black trim on headlight. -full door -grille same as body color, fenders and running board flat black. looks good so far! |

Looks good to me also! I thing I would ditch the running boards altogether and cut them off and then cut the fenders at the bottoms. Then make some proper tube style rocker knockers! Keep those updates comming.

Alright guys, I've made the executive decision to go with 2.2 wheels and tires. The 1.9's just weren't doin' it for me. So if a Mod takes a peek, please feel free to move this to the 2.2 scale section. Nishru showed up at the shop with cash in hand this morning. And this is what I came up with so far. Should be finished up enough with my end by tomorrow morning, that he can run with it from there On to the pics, This one was somewhat hard to wrap my head around for design, but I think it works well to blend the square with the round. |

Now thats some progress I love the plates around the roll bar! Looks like a great place to mount lights or do something special. I think I recognize those bends on the center pieces from somewhere I don't know about the 2.2's though. I need to see this guy in person. Glad it will be running for Crawlapalooza though! |

Well, the 1.9's made it look like a "john-boat" sitting on a trailer. I don't think any variance of wheel off-set would have fixed it, since the body is so darn wide. Especially the grill area. I figured if it resembled a normal lifted jeep, it would look pretty good sitting next to the larger scalers and such. Which I think there will be plenty of in Okie in Oct. Still a difficult body to work around for the "realism" factor. |

Either way I am already impressed. I think it needs a coat of desert tan paint though.

| the pics look great. Matt knocked this one out of the park. it is a very weird body short & fat but the cage blends it all togather. the 1.9's will tuck in the fenders but with the "tonka" feel of the body I agree that 2.2 & giving it a lifted look will go better than trying to fight against it |
