| Few scale questions (frame, axles, body..)
Well the whole comp thing isn't for me, and I want to convert my crawler into a scaler. I currently have a axial setup with a torsion chassis. I want to take this and make a scaler out of it. Here is what I am hoping you guys can help me out with: What is the best aftermarket frame for these (preferably in steel if they make it so that I can weld to it) Does nayone make a Flatfender body for the 1:10 scale rigs? Are the axial axles fine for this, or should I be looking at other options? Should I go brushless, or is a brushed motor just fine? Also what sized motor should I run on here? I am in the build process of a 52 CJ3A for a 1:1, so I was hoping to "copy" this build in a scaler. I would like to build the cage out of some reular tubing (not al). I don't know how to braze, but I can weld all day. Thanks DIma |

motor i would stay with a brushed motor. i have heard brushless not so good for water. and i know my scaler like water as for tubing brake line 3/16 and 1/4 inch make sure not the coated stuff use the silver stuff. you can weld it, braze it and solder it |

The SCX10 chassis kit would be a good start, I've seen a few people weld to it, you'll just have to paint it or something afterwards. http://www.axialracing.com/ftp/ax10o...frame_set.html |
