Default Short bed Chevy

Well This is roughly based off this truck

I started the frame last night and hope to finish it today, I'll get more pics up tommorrow hopefully.

Spec's
Frame will be a custom c channel by me.
Trans will be an rc4wd R2 or R2 2 speed
Axles will be TLT's
110mm rc4wd dual spring shocks
Tires will be 2.2 mud slingers
And that's all for now.

Trim the fenders to match the 1:1 and stretch it about 1/2 inch from your mock pic and it should be spot on

Yeah it's going to get the fenders trimmed like the 1:1 I dunno about streching the wb anymore tho she's sitting a 10 1/16" wb right now.

Does anyone have the 1:1 wb for a chevy or jimmy sb?

aren't they about 117 inches? (damn beat me to it)

Don't be a wuss, stretch it. About 1/4" on either end would do it. Stock Clod the body came from is 10.5

Ok Fine it'll get streched about 1/2 inch over all.
And just so you know I hate long bed trucks for wheeling, my 1:1 rig is an 85 dodge sb and it walks all over the long beds I go wheeling with.

I just wanted to see if I goad you into doing it.

Think about it though, comp rigs push 12.5 inches, 11 would be a short wheelbase considering that. At 10.5 on a standard 5 inch tall 2.2? thats really short. Besides you don't want to trim the cab side fenderwells, it wouldn't match the big one.

The biggest problem I have is

1. I suck a body work.
2. The bed had been ripped away from the cab and had to have about 1/2 taken out of it to be re attached to the cab.
3. I don't have another clod body

Yes it's a little tall for so such a short wb but the pictures make it look shorter than it is. I think i can cheat it w/o screwing with the body to much to get the wb I want.

If it turns out close to the inspirational truck, it'll be awesome! Yoou are gonna need some crazy power to be true to the truck though.

Well I dunno if I can replicate the 623 cu motor that's producing 900hp w/o the 150 shot of nitro..............

But I sure as hell am gonna try I'm thinking the HH 7t puller on 11.1 with an r2 2 speed. I would love to see some pic's of how the cage and how the cradle is done up.

Thanks for the awesome vid btw.
