Default CR-01 Bent links - Powder coated

Here are some pictures of my Tamiya bent links powder coated with a black crinkle coat. Let me know what you think.
Peace

They look great, but don't you want them to be as smooth and slick as possible?

Yes, and no. The top ones don't matter of course, the bottom ones will end up smooth in no time I am sure. The textured coating actually (in theory) has less contact area than if it were coated with a smooth finish. If it happens to get scrapped off it is all the better, 'mo realistic. HA! We will see how she holds up. If it becomes troublesome then I will grind off just the bottom and shine it up, two tone style. More R&D to come...

I'm really beginning to like this crinkle coat......I've always powder coated with smooth, shiny colors but I may have to pick some of this stuff up, and give it a try.

Where'd you get those links from? Tried looking around with no luck.

My friend "Lunchboxer" over at RCU forums. They are machined nicely and look different than any other ones I have seen. Gotta love Tamiya quality for sure.
