Default My 2point2 hilux

After completing my CR01(upgrades and twists), i'm going to try a new rig. here's what I've got so far...


mocked CR01 axles


did some bending too

WOW....Those tires look huge!! Looks like it's going to be a nice build.

Thanks guys!

i used a tube bender i got from sears for the bends and for tight ones i used a metal pipe as guide(not a perfect bend...but it works for me). i also use solid and brake line tubing.

dont know if you plan to just bash with it or compete but, if you plan to compete, SCRC set a 5.2" limit on tires... Just something to think about

well here's some update...

i know this thread is for 2.2's but i just had to try 1.9's(my first)...






changed my shock setup, old setup screwed the axles...

ooops! still on the old shock setup...






i think shooter shackles are in order...
or scratch the leaf setup and go for 4-link?

your rig is progressing nicely.
you are right, this is a 2.2 thread....... but your rig looks much better with the 1.9s IMO:-P

If you are going to run it 4 link,

If she'll be a poser, leafs

thanks, i liked the look of the 1.9's but love 2.2's going over stuff more, but for now i'm sticking with the leaf, see how it will change as i use it.

finished painting the bumpers and sliders...




the clearance is about 4" with the crushers...
