Default Mr. Ed's 2.2 xtrail ( 1st timer )

Well I found this guy who traded me this crawler for my Revo 3.3 straight up Uh radio too (futaba 3pm 2.4 3 channel)

I currently comp with my 1st crawler (Losi MRC) but since this came with the xtrail allready guess I'm gonna scale it up!

It was set up very bad no wonder he wanted to trade this truck would not even follow the lines my mrc would. I tore it apart and rebuilt the shocks and moved the links around and now it'll crawl pretty good. I do have a few questions though.

1 for 2.2 xtrail is 90mm the best shock?

2 what is a good sid plate height? I'm at 3.5 inches now

3 dodge ram
chevy blazer
bronco
jeep
axial trail runner ( long bed suzuki sammy lookalike )

4 should I follow the same set up lines per say for comp as for scale? wheel weights etc..

I have a can of easy off so that's coming soon and I probally will hack up the ford body till I can get / decide what body to go with

1. put the internal springs under the piston.
2. CHEVY all the way.
3. check with your local club on the rules for tire weights, and placement.
4. just have FUN

I spent about 4 hours reading builds and discovered that the guy who built this truck put the chassis on backwards no wonder he didnt like the way it crawled.

I tried the easyoff method to remove the green but the blue can does NOT work so back to the store for the yellow can.

Well got the correct easy off and got rid of all the green I picked up this body at a second hand retailer for 5 bucks! gonna make a go at it. the wheel base is only 10 but I guess I'll just make some new links. Anything would be better than that ford body! I'm not trashin ford's just dont like that one on a crawler.

wow, backwards Xtrail.
either someone played a hoax on him, or thats just not funny.
but looking at the clock on those axles he knew what was up

at any rate, cant freakin go wrong with Xtrail.
good luck with the jeep.
