Default My Daily Driver / Beater Rig

My new favorite rig aka Daily Driver
I just scored this rig from LEROY (thanks man) and I am stoked! I have changed a few things already.

I added a 645mg servo and arm, tiny spectrum RX(thanks J), and lowered the body about 3/8". I also made a custom electronics mount for my battery/Goat ESC & RX and front body mounts. Similar to the one it came with just smaller and lower.

present parts list.........

X-Trail chassis
100mm shocks
Traxxas turnbuckle lower/upper links
custom rear body mounts
custom rear aluminum bumper
HPI from bumper
**********4/40 screws:-(everywhere***** I have already started to swap them out for metric ones.
Proline 8 shooters with Flat Irons
MIP drive shafts
Losi tranny (locked) gone*
*added Axial tranny
Axial axles

upgrades to come.... like my 3 racing winch and other scale details.

thanks,
I always tell my wife that I have to get one whenever I see one driving down the road, I know what you mean.

well, I have one just 1/10 the size

I got this 3Racing winch in a trade, the wires were broken off the switch board so I had to doctor it up a bit but I got it working. This weekends procjt is to get it on the C10

had some time to kill so I made a little winch mount, I still have to install the wire harness and program my radio but I have the winch mounted in place.
next I think I may throw in some head/tail lights.

Everyone should have a beater rig that they can run hard and look good doing it. I love that shot of her sitting in the water . Have fun with it!

thanks, I like this rig too....at first the bright orange had me thinking twice but once I hit the woods it was on
It is pretty pepy with the goat/18.5T BL ...for the life of me I will never understand the idea of a BL ESC that can only handle a 2 cell lipo. but its fun nonetheless.....
I am working on water proofing it...the water kicks ass.
Had I known a scale rig was this much fun I wouldnt have built 4 comp rigs before my first scaler

got my winch working last night so of coarse I had to try it first thing this morning. look carefully you can see my winch line. Both rigs are on the same radio so I had to place the toyota by hand but the C10 pulled and clawed its way up with the help of the winch

Your trackwidth looks great with that body, which axles are you running? I strained my eyeballs trying to I.D. them.

Default no servo?

I moved my servo up out of sight after I waterproofed it with Phil's grease and silicone.

I get some bump steer but its a scaler.... still quite capable and I love not seeing a servo or the chassis below the body line
