this is a pretty basic rig, havent owned it a week yet, but figured i'd start now. it isnt really a true scaler yet, but with time, and dollars, it will be! its an AX-10 RTR with some mods, Integy shocks, hitec steering servo, imex claw dawgs, and a 2C 2200 Mah lipo. Enjoy! TowerHobbies website lied, they said the outer diameter of the claw dawgs was 4.88". as you can see, they came up a bit short lol. the body is in the paint shop right now,(i.e my basement) but heres a teaser. i also have an integy 85T motor for it, and a 12t pinion 93t spur, but since the tires are so much smaller than i thought, im not sure it i want to slow it down that much. suggestions? I think that looks like a really good start. I think that body looks great on there even with those tires...reminds me of what a lot of some of the ford trucks around here look like. Keep it up!

so i got the body painted, albeit not well. i made the mistake (again i might add) of using old masking tape and pinstriping, instead of going and getting fresh stuff. for now, it'll do, but i will be repainting it once the truck is 100% done. here it is. i think i might go back to the stock rock lizards until i can get new treads. im torn between the j concepts rocx crawler, http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...I=L5WTH602&P=K or the pro line flat iron http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...I=L5UWD702&P=K i'd bet the jconcepts would perform better, but i also want to keep the scale look going. Got the stock tires on, the 4" foams from the claw dawgs worked well inside the tires, i narrowed the foams about 1/2", lets the tires squat nice, but they dont roll over themselves. im amazed the amount of grip these tires have this way.
